La longitud de la línea limítrofe Panamá-Colombia es de 263 kilómetros. Hitos (Panamá - Colombia). Históricamente, de esta área de la frontera limítrofe se había contado con 15 hitos; 2 de clase 1 (Cabo Tiburón y Pacífico), 12 de clase 2 y un punto abstracto (Altos de Aspavé). Con el pasar del tiempo se han añadido, monumento y levantado 6 hitos más. Hitos de la Frontera Colombo Panameña, zona 18N. En la base de datos sólo se muestran 17 hitos en el Sistema de Referencia WGS84 y los otros 4 que hacen falta están referidos al Sistema Astronómico, los cuales son: Tanela, Mangle, el Cruce y Altos de Aspavé (Abstracto). Estos 4 hitos son extraídos en ubicación apropiada de los insumos de radar (DEM, modelos de cuenca y vectores de hidrografía) IFSAR y de la consulta del documento de la frontera \u201cArreglo de Límites entre La República de Colombia y la República de Panamá\u201d, ya que no cuentan con un CRS en WGS84. Límites con Costa Rica: El Fallo Loubet establece la Frontera de Panamá y Costa Rica formada por la contra fuerte de la cordillera que parte de Cabo Mona sobre el Océano Atlántico y cierra al Norte el Valle del Río Teribe o Sixaola; y luego por la cadena que divide las aguas entre el Atlántico y el Pacífico hasta lo 9° de latitud aproximadamente; seguirá por la línea que separa las aguas entre el Chiriquí Viejo y los afluentes del Golfo Dulce, para terminar en la Punta Burica, sobre el Océano Pacífico. En el feature class limi_hito_t de la frontera entre Panamá y Costa Rica se muestran la captura de 428 puntos (hitos y punto thalweg); los cuales están divididos entre 7 sectores de trabajo. El 60% de la información (CRS WGS84) que se despliegan en la base de datos está documentada en informes y en algunos de los casos los mismos son oficializados. Por ejemplo: 1.
